Author Guidelines
The authors are required to follow the following specific guidelines while submitting the manuscript to the journal.
Ethical Consideration
Authors are required to ensure that the submitted article meets the ethical standards required for scholarly publication. They should declare that the manuscript does not suffer from data falsification, data fabrication and plagiarism. They should also take the entire responsibility of any legal or scientific consequences that may arise from the use of information contained in the article, i.e. neither the publisher nor the editor will be responsible for any errors or any consequences arising from the publication of the article. In addition, the manuscript submitted for publication should not be published anywhere in any form, or should not be under consideration to any other journals or books for publication.
Cover Letter
The authors should write a cover letter, addressing to the editorial board that explains how the manuscript fits the scope of the journal, and more specifically how the research advances the current understandings in a broader aspect of the specific field.
Manuscript Format
- The manuscript must be written in English. Both American and British English are acceptable but there should be consistency throughout.
- The manuscript should be as concise as possible, preferably within 20 manuscript pages. The manuscript between 20-30 pages may also be considered for publication provided that the submission is accompanied by a detailed justification for the length. This justification can be made in the cover letter. However, the article beyond 30 manuscript pages will not be considered for publication.
- The manuscript should be in “Times New Roman 12-point font” and be formatted as double-spaced on the standard page size (Letter 8½" by 11) with one-inch margin on both sides.
- The first page of the manuscript should be the title page which should include only the title of the article and the lists and affiliations of the authors along with the email address of the corresponding authors. The rest of the manuscript should not contain the identification of author/s in any forms.
- The second page of the manuscript is the abstract page that should include a stand-alone abstract of the manuscript. The maximum word limit of the abstract is 250. It should precisely present background and rationale of the research, brief methods, result and the major implication of the research. The abstract should be followed by a list of 5-8 keywords arranged in an alphabetical order.
- The main body of the manuscript should be arranged in the order of introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, conclusion, acknowledgements and references. The manuscript should be without redundancies, unnecessary details and irrelevant contents.
- Metric unit must be used for all kinds of measurement. Binomial nomenclature with authority must be shown for all the name of plants and animals at the first listing.
Tables, Graphs and Figures
Ideas and findings should be presented in the form of tables, graphs and figures. To avoid duplication, the same data should not be used in both tables and graphs. These illustrations should be on separate sheets.
References and Citation
The journal adopts the latest version of the APA style for citation and references. The list of references should only contain the works that have been cited in the text. The authors should assure that all the cited works are included in the references.
Authors are recommended to strictly follow the guidelines set out in the latest issue of the journal.
Peer-review process
All the manuscript submitted to the journal will be initially assessed by the editorial staff for formatting and other technical requirements. Manuscript not conforming to the guidelines will be returned for revision without assigning to the editorial board meeting. The manuscript that adheres with the technical requirements will then be assigned to the Executive Editor. The Executive Editor will make a detailed assessment of the manuscript which will then either be desk-rejected (If the manuscript is not suitable for publication) or be sent out for peer-review (if the manuscript has the potential to be published in the journal). The final decision on the manuscript will be made by the editorial board, based on the reviewers’ and Executive Editor’s suggestion. The manuscript at this stage may be rejected, asked for either major review or minor review, or may be accepted in its current form. The decision will entirely be based on the reviewer’s and executive editor’s responses.
The journal follows the double blind review system (neither the author nor the reviewer know each other). However, this system involves either one or two reviewers, depending upon the availability of the experts. It usually takes four weeks to have the initial decision on the manuscript. All drafts along with peer reviewer’s feedback and remarks will be sent back to the authors for revision. Authors are expected to submit the revised manuscripts within a week of the receipt of the feedback. The right to edit, accept or reject the article is reserved by the editorial board.
