Author Guidelines

The original articles must be written in concise English by the authors. The paper must be devoid of data manipulation, information manufacturing and plagiarism. Papers should be written in the third person, with a professional style.

Manuscript Format:
  1. The maximum length of the document, including spaces, shall not exceed 25,000 characters (excluding the references).
  2. Abstracts should be no more than 300 words (one paragraph) and include four to six keywords.
  3. Words in languages other than English should be italicized.
  4. The American Psychological Association (APA) style should be used for citations in the text and in the reference list.
  5. References should be listed alphabetically and chronologically by author.
  6. The text must be in Times New Roman 12 point font, with margins of at least 1 inch (standard page size (A4) and a beginning capital letter for any proper noun.
  7. All authors with complete names, affiliations and email addresses should have been included. The corresponding author should be specified. Introduction and reference list should be included in the text.
  8. Numerical order must include equations, figures and tables in the text. Not entertaining are footnotes and endnotes. The figures are provided in gray and ensure that the lines and shades used are clearly visible. The figure and table must not exceed 7.

Review Process
The Himalayan Geographers adopts a double peer review policy. The review criteria for the acceptance of the article are whether the paper is a unique and useful contribution to the relevant national and international debate which is effectively communicates ideas and concept.

The manuscript that adheres with the technical requirements will then be assigned to the Executive Editor. The editorial board will make the ultimate judgment on the article based on the suggestions of the reviewers and the Executive Editor. At this point, the work may be rejected, subjected to either significant or small revision, or accepted in its existing form. The choice will be solely dependent on the replies of the reviewer and the chief editor.

All manuscripts along with comments and suggestions from peer reviewers will be returned to the authors for modification. The authors are asked to submit updated papers within a week of receiving feedback. The editorial board reserves the right to modify, accept, or reject the article.
